The Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) organized an interactive session with major medical and industrial licensees in Lahore under the jurisdiction of the Regional Nuclear Safety Inspectorate – (RNSI-ID), Lahore on July 08, 2026. The session was chaired by the Chairman, PNRA Mr. Zia Hussain Shah, S.I. It served as a valuable platform for strengthening collaboration, discussing regulatory matters, and reinforcing the shared commitment to ensuring the safe, secure, and peaceful use of radiation and nuclear technologies in Pakistan.

During the session, the Chairman emphasized on the importance of a strong safety and security culture, strict compliance with PNRA regulations, and the vital role of institutional leadership in maintaining effective radiation protection programs. He highlighted that the establishment of RNSI-ID Lahore reflects PNRA's commitment to bring regulatory services closer to stakeholders and enhancing licensing, inspection, and emergency response capabilities.

The participants appreciated PNRA's continued engagement with licensees and reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with PNRA to further strengthen radiation safety and regulatory compliance across the country.
