PNRA-IAEA Workshop on “Regulatory Requirements for Aging Management and Identification of Applicable Aging Effects and Degradation Mechanism of Mechanical, Electrical and I&C and Civil Systems Structures and Components” at PNRA HQs, Islamabad from 20-22 November, 2018

PNRA in collaboration with IAEA is organizing a workshop on “Regulatory Requirements for Aging Management and Identification of Applicable Aging Effects and Degradation Mechanism of Mechanical, Electrical and I&C and Civil Systems Structures and Components” from 20-22 November, 2018 at PNRA HQs, Islamabad under the IAEA TC Project PAK/2007 titled "Strengthening and Enhancing Capabilities of Pakistan's Institutions to Support a Safe, Reliable and Sustainable Nuclear Power Program".

The objective of this workshop is to enhance the capabilities of regulatory body and utility in understanding the regulatory framework and regulatory oversight for the ageing management of structure, systems and components (mechanical, electrical and I&C) and civil structures of the Nuclear Power Plants. The IAEA experts will share feedback and provide information on IAEA ageing management and Long Term Operation (LTO) activities through presentations.

Mr. M. Saleem Zafar, Member (Corporate) has inaugurated the workshop. Four experts from IAEA will be sharing their experiences through presentations during the workshop. A total of twenty seven (27) participants from PNRA and PAEC will be attending the workshop.
